Issue: People dealing with development challenges often struggle to find support because they're unsure where to look, face transportation issues, deal with financial constraints, and may lack proper documentation. As a result, many end up not seeking assistance, unaware of the available support.
Goal: To provide comprehensive and dedicated assistance at the Sunshine Life Centre Helpdesk for all residents in the Ndlambe Municipality to access dedicated support to navigate and resolve their challenges.
Beneficiaries: 480 clients benefit from the support and individualized programs of which 150 are referred to specialized service providers per year.
Objectives
Database Establishment and Management
A comprehensive database has been compiled and is regularly updated which include Non-Governmental, Community-Based and Faith -Based organizations, Development groups, Government Departments, Health Services, Educational Institutions, Psycho-Social support and Legal Resources. Included is relevant contact details, criteria and procedures to access the services provided by these institutions.
Consultation and Referral Services
Offer consultation and facilitate referrals to relevant support services. Assist individuals in accessing these services, meticulously tracking all referrals until resolution. Maintain a beneficiary database and gather essential family demographic information.
Client Engagement and Program Participation
Encourage and motivate clients to engage in Sunshine Programs tailored to their needs. Provide access to information about available development programs, events, and services.
