Issue: Residents in townships face limited access to educational and work opportunities, resulting in a pronounced skills deficit. Without formal occupational training, their job prospects are constrained and individuals often seek sporadic employment. Those with minimal education struggle further due to language barriers, hindering their entry into the labour market.

Goal: To cultivate a thriving and skilled community capable of developing occupational expertise, securing employment, and manufacturing products for local markets and international export.

Beneficiaries: 300 people’s skills developed per year


Objectives

Skills Transfer Partnerships

Identify and collaborate with local experts, supporting them in developing specialized skills transfer courses. Forge partnerships with both private and governmental skills development programs and trainers to consolidate resources and expertise.

Skills Development

Offer marginalized township residents comprehensive skills development, seamlessly integrated with employment and enterprise development programs to enhance their access to job opportunities and income.

Manufacturing Initiative

Provide avenues for individuals not suited to the employment program to engage in upcycling and utility craft training and production lines. These products will be showcased and sold at designated local and online marketplaces.
