AidIT NPO was founded on 16 April 2016 and is registered with the Department of Social Development under NPO number 169-590. In 2020, AidIT was registered as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO No. 930072141) with the South African Revenue Service, enabling qualifying donors to receive tax benefits for their contributions.
Operating as the Sunshine Life Centre, the organisation has evolved into a community development hub serving individuals, families, and communities across Ndlambe Municipality in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Through an integrated approach, the Centre provides support through its Development Helpdesk, Mental Health and Wellbeing services, Occupational Skills and Employment Programme, Enterprise Development Programme, Handmade Production Programme, Food Security and Growers Programme, Education Support Programme, Youth Development Programme, and Community Development and Partnerships Programme.
The Sunshine Life Centre believes that every person has value, potential, and the ability to contribute positively to their family and community. Through development planning, skills development, livelihood pathways, youth development, food security initiatives, and collaborative partnerships, the Centre helps people move from vulnerability toward wellbeing, participation, and sustainable livelihoods.
AidIT continues to utilise technology and innovative information management systems to strengthen programme delivery, monitoring, reporting, transparency, and community development coordination. These systems support both the Sunshine Life Centre and broader collaborative initiatives such as the Ndlambe NGO Forum.
Today, the Sunshine Life Centre works alongside community members, volunteers, businesses, NGOs, educational institutions, government departments, and development partners to create opportunities that help people build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
