In Nemato Township, South Africa, thousands of mothers wake up each day in shacks with no proper shelter, no job, and no way to provide for their families. Yet, they still hold onto hope—hope that life can be better for their children.
At the Sunshine Life Centre, we walk alongside these mothers, offering them practical skills training, emotional support, and opportunities to start small businesses or find employment. We believe that every mother deserves a fair chance to build a dignified life for her family.
In the video above, you’ll meet Thulisa, a mother who lives in a one-room shack with her sons. She shares her daily struggles, but also her journey of hope—how she found her way to the Sunshine Life Centre and began to transform her life through our programs.
Her story is not unique. There are hundreds more mothers waiting for the same opportunity.
