The Food Security and Growers Programme supports households, community groups, schools, and Early Childhood Development centres to improve access to nutritious food through sustainable food production.
Through training, practical support, demonstration gardens, grower networks, and market opportunities, the programme helps participants strengthen food security, reduce household food costs, improve nutrition, and create opportunities for supplementary income.
The programme promotes both household food production and the development of local growers who contribute to stronger and more resilient communities.

Market Access and Income Generation
Not all participants follow the same pathway. For some households the goal is improved food security, while others may progress toward income-generating growing activities.
Food insecurity affects many households and can make it difficult for individuals and families to participate fully in employment, education, enterprise development, and community life.
By helping people grow food, improve nutrition, reduce food costs, and access opportunities for income generation, this programme contributes to stronger households, healthier communities, and greater resilience.
