Helping People Move From Vulnerability To Wellbeing, Opportunity And Sustainable Livelihoods
The Sunshine Life Centre is a community development hub that helps individuals and families access support, develop skills, improve wellbeing, and build pathways toward employment, enterprise, food security, and active community participation.
Through our Development Helpdesk, relief support, training programmes, youth initiatives, food security projects, and community partnerships, we help people move from crisis to stability, from stability to participation, and from participation to sustainable livelihoods.
The Sunshine Life Centre provides integrated support through nine programmes that help individuals, families, and communities move from vulnerability toward wellbeing, participation, and sustainable livelihoods.
Whether someone needs immediate assistance, personal support, skills development, employment opportunities, enterprise support, food security, youth development opportunities, or community connections, our programmes work together to create pathways for long-term positive change.

Vision: A world where every individual can access and pursue opportunities to realise their full potential.
Mission: To support marginalised people in townships, small towns, and rural areas through relief, psychosocial wellbeing, skills development, income opportunities, financial literacy, and strong support networks that help individuals and families move beyond the challenges they face.
Values: Compassion; Dignity; Empowerment; Inclusion; Integrity; Collaboration; Sustainability
People come to the Sunshine Life Centre through our Development Helpdesk, where they receive information, guidance, referrals, and access to relevant support.
Some participants join a specific programme directly, such as work readiness, occupational skills, enterprise development, youth activities, or education support.
Others face deeper challenges such as food insecurity, long-term unemployment, family difficulties, mental health concerns, or substance abuse. These Development Clients are guided through an evaluation, a Development Planning Workshop, and an Individual Development Plan that helps them follow a realistic pathway toward improved wellbeing, participation, and sustainable livelihoods.
Through this model, relief support, personal development, training, employment, enterprise, production, food security, youth development, and community partnerships work together as one connected system.
The Sunshine Life Centre relies on the support of donors, businesses, foundations, government programmes, volunteers, and community members to provide opportunities and support to vulnerable individuals and families.
The information below shows the funding required to sustain and grow our programmes, as well as the progress being made towards meeting those needs.
Every contribution helps create pathways toward wellbeing, opportunity, and sustainable livelihoods.
Every number represents a person, family, trainee, learner, entrepreneur, grower, or community group reached through the Sunshine Life Centre.
We track our work through our internal systems so that we can better understand community needs, improve our programmes, and show the progress being made together with our partners, donors, volunteers, and participants.
